Cases of rape, groping and molestation of women have witnessed a gradual rise over recent times, and it’s really unfortunate that we live in a culture that is only busy in blaming the sexual assaulted victims, rather than pointing out the main culprits.

‘Undrape’ has exposed this bitter reality of today’s society. In this short film, four different incidents occurred which were identically same at one point- a prostitute woman was brutally raped, an athlete and a housewife was groped on their way back home while they were alone, a young lady got sexually molested though she was in burkha(a long, loose garment covering the whole body from head to feet)- sexual violence against women took place in all the above cases .

The crime is always the fault of the person who committed it, in spite of the fact, victim blaming continues to happen from all parts of the society. They are said to brought it on themselves by getting out alone, being too modernized, their luck, behavior and when there’s nothing left, we blame on their outfit, what they are wearing –a shameless, illogical act of our society which is probably a larger concern than the violence itself.
